    Our Staff

    MSC teachers are trained in the Montessori Method and are certified by the American Montessori Society. 
     
    Marla Schoolmeester is the school’s part-time director. She brings entrepreneurial experience as a small business owner and has over 15 years of volunteer service to independent schools.  Marla currently serves as Clerk of the Board of Trustees for New Garden Friends School in Greensboro, North Carolina after a three year term as treasurer and seven years service on the budget and finance committee.  Marla has a bachelor’s degree in leisure studies with a concentration in education reflecting her long interest in non-traditional learning environments.
