    Aftercare Staff

    Lois Scales is our elementary aftercare director and preschool assistant.  She has more than twenty-five years of experience working with children and has worked in Montessori preschool and elementary school environments for twenty years. She has been Ms. Burke’s assistant since 2000 and the aftercare director since 1996.
     
    Chad Langdale, an Aftercare Assistant.  He is a student at USC studying middle school education with the ultimate goal of a master’s in library science and a position as a high school media specialist.  Before moving to Columbia to attend school, he worked as an aftercare assistant at Bethel Hansberry Elementary School in Blythewood.  He has been a camp counselor at Camp Gravatt in Aiken.  Chad is looking forward to sharing his interest in chess with our aftercare participants.
